BREAKING: Steelers recieved unexpected bad news on 3 CBs, ahead of Jaguars game.
Three of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ top four cornerbacks are questionable for game day.
The Pittsburgh Steelers could have three cornerbacks when they face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8. Joey Porter Jr., Levi Wallace and James Pierre are questionable with injuries after reporting for the final practice.
Pierre did not appear on the team’s injury report until the final day of practice, but was ruled out with an ankle injury.
It’s unclear what the details of the injury are and how much time he could miss after Week 8.
Wallace started the week on the sidelines but has had time to return due to a leg injury.
He never trained all day, leaving his participation on race day in question.
Porter Jr. suffered an ankle injury midweek and was limited the last two days of practice.
He told reporters he will play against the Jaguars, but now it’s Pittsburgh’s decision.
To accommodate the injuries, the Steelers began using Darius Rush and Luke Barku. Barcoo did not know if he would be activated from the training squad for the game, but confirmed in training that he would be back in action with the first team.
Rush said he will make his NFL debut against the Jaguars.
“You have to prepare every week,” Rush said.
“With the reps that I’ve met this week, I really have to be ready when my number is called, and when my number is called, I have to go out there and perform at a high level and meet my clients.
This is the standard.
we’re dealing here.”
