Caitlin Clark Leaves Pat McAfee Speechless With Shocking Offer
Every show in sports wants a piece of former Iowa guard and the new face of the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark.
She was arguably one of the most exciting college basketball players in the sport’s history with her flashy passing, elite handle, and of course unlimited range. She was selected almost immediately with the No. 1 pick in Monday’s WNBA Draft by the Fever, and saw her jersey sell out within an hour of its release on Fanatics. She has brought millions of new fans to the sport, as Monday’s WNBA Draft was the most watched in its history, and we also saw the NCAA Tournament games get tens of millions of viewers as well.
On Wednesday while she was continuing on what has likely been an eventful press tour, Clark stopped by ESPN’s Pat McAfee Show which is based out of Indianapolis. McAfee gifted Clark with a No. 22 Indianapolis Colts jersey, which came after Clark gave him a jersey of her own.
However, it was later in the interview that Clark really stunned McAfee when she jokingly (maybe) offered to be a weekly guest. Something that McAfee has done with the likes of JJ Watt, Aaron Rodgers, and Nick Saban.
McAfee, who was clearly shocked by the offer, could only muster one word at first which was “deal.”
Reports earlier in the year revealed that Saban was making around $1 million to appear on the show, and with booming popularity, Clark could command even more if she is serious.
