Farhan Zaidi, president of the Giants, speaks out about Gabe Kapler’s dismissal.

On Friday, the San Francisco Giants fired manager Gabe Kapler.
The process of finding a new manager will now start in San Francisco.
According to Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic, Farhan Zaidi, president of baseball operations for the Giants, commented on the firing of Kapler.

I have nothing bad to say about Gabe Kapler, Zaidi declared.
“Not just in terms of who he is as a person, but also in terms of his work and his time spent with us.
He is very diligent and thoughtful.
He is also creative.
He is loyal.
He is conscientious.
He is very enthusiastic about this game.
He was enthusiastic about the work he did and had.

“And obviously, during his time here, we experienced some truly high highs.
That is why it is so difficult for us to be in this position and end his term.
“.

The Giants release Gabe Kapler.

In San Francisco, Kapler had three passable campaigns and one excellent one.
The Giants were essentially stuck at .500 in 2020, 2022, and 2023.
The best record in MLB for 2021 belonged to San Francisco, who defeated the Dodgers in the NL West and won 107 games.
It was still a memorable season even though LA eliminated them from the playoffs.

For his leadership abilities in 2021 as well, Gabe Kapler received praise. San Francisco chose to go in a different direction, however, as the Giants had been mired in mediocrity for the previous few seasons.

The Giants want a quick victory. They participated in the Carlos Correa and Aaron Judge free agency chases last offseason.
San Francisco decided to go a different route because of health-related concerns after passing up on Judge and initially signing a contract with Correa.

It’s challenging to pin Kapler’s lack of recent success on the Giants’ struggles. The offense fluctuated, and the team lacked a stable supply of pitchers.
The Giants likely decided it was simply time for a change in the end.
As a manager in the major leagues, Kapler will undoubtedly land another position.
