Colorado OC Sean Lewis roasted after making unbelievable statement
Sean Lewis, the Colorado offensive coordinator, received criticism for calling run plays late in the game against USC.
Colorado football’s game against the USC Trojans was interesting, but they simply ran out of time to complete a wild comeback, losing to their Pac-12 rivals by a score of 48-41.
Colorado’s offensive coordinator bizarrely called multiple running plays with the ball deep in USC territory late in the fourth quarter, which contributed to the fact that they ran out of time. The real kicker was that the Buffaloes didn’t have timeouts, so they effectively used up far more clock time than they could have.
After the loss, Lewis was thoroughly roasted on social media by the enraged Colorado football fans.
Some of the best responses are shown below.
There are two consecutive run plays that the Buffaloes called with 5:58 left in the fourth quarter.
On the first play, they were stopped, and on the second play, they only gained four yards.
Lewis was saved by Colorado football’s star quarterback Jimmy Horn Jr., who fired a touchdown pass to Jimmy Horn Jr. to pull Colorado within a touchdown after making an impressive throw to convert the ensuing third down.
Unfortunately, the Buffaloes had run out of time and had just 1:43 remaining.
Since they were unable to successfully execute the onside kick, USC football simply knelt the ball to end the game.
Fans of the Buffaloes couldn’t believe what Lewis was contemplating.
