ASU football legend Jake Plummer addresses ‘stir’ with wearing Colorado Buffaloes shirt
Some Arizona State fans may be suspicious of Jake Plummer’s allegiance to Deion Sanders’ team in Tempe when they play the Sun Devils on Saturday after he was spotted cheering for the Colorado Buffaloes at a game in Boulder last month.
However, Plummer insists that it is clear who he is in favor of.
Plummer recently admitted to Arizona’s Family, “I support one team.
“I don’t even support the NFL teams I played for or anything, but I’ll cheer for and wish success for ASU.
“I obviously pay taxes, so I am funding CU (Colorado), and I’m likely funding a portion of Deion’s (Sanders) salary, but when I was back home, I caused a commotion by donning a Colorado shirt.
I’m from Colorado, and I went to the game. I’ve had that shirt for ten years; I refrained from purchasing it during the Deion craze. Through and through, I’m a Sun Devil. “.
Some ASU supporters and media members undoubtedly “made a scene” when they saw Plummer wearing a Colorado shirt.
After being spotted wearing a Colorado shirt for the Buffaloes’ game against the Colorado State Rams last month, Plummer, one of the greatest quarterbacks in Arizona State football history, came under fire on social media.
