Kelma Tuilagi’s new destination confirmed amid Parramatta Eels interest

“We appreciate Kelma’s decision to join the Club, and we hope she does.

The Parramatta Eels have been revealed as Kelma Tuilagi’s new team.

Tuilagi will sign a two-year contract with the team and wear the blue and yellow until the end of the 2025 campaign.

The Samoan international played for the Wests Tigers for two seasons before joining the Manly Sea Eagles earlier this year.
This season, he played in 17 games for the club and was used in the starting second row for all but two of those contests.

In a statement released to the media by the Eels, general manager of football Mark O’Neil said, “We are happy that Kelma has chosen to join the Club for the 2024 and 2025 season.”.

“At 24, we believe that he still has his best football ahead of him and will make a significant contribution to the team in 2019.”.
“.

After two weeks of rumors that he would transfer from the Manly Sea Eagles to the club, the Parramatta Eels have now officially confirmed it.

Tuilagi’s departure from the Sea Eagles is likely to free up more salary cap space for the team after they recently re-signed Josh Schuster for an additional $800,000 per season and are getting ready to make a multi-million dollar offer to Haumole Olakau’atu to secure his long-term future.

He will offer the Eels great forward depth and might even end up in the starting back row since Shaun Lane is the only player who is likely to be guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup.
