Fight Breaks Out Between Cleveland Browns And San Francisco49ers Prior To Kickoff

Before teams begin their Week Six matchup, tensions rise between the Browns and 49ers.

Due in large part to the absence of starting quarterback Deshaun Watson, the Cleveland Browns face the San Francisco 49ers at home in Week 6.

But even before the game began, Cleveland made it clear they weren’t going down without a fight.

A pregame donnybrook between the two teams was seen in several videos that circulated on social media about 40 minutes before the start of the game, close to midfield.

At this point, it’s unclear what started the altercation, but the video appears to show 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk and Browns safety Juan Thornhill shoving each other before the pushing and shoving starts.

Following the altercation between Thornhill and Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, Aiyuk’s fellow receiver, seems to interject, and the situation then seems to worsen.
Although no punishment was announced or meted out for the pregame incident, some players might face fines.

It will be interesting to see how the incident affects the game. On the one hand, it might act as motivation for the Browns, who are looking for any way to play with an advantage against a team that is favored by more than nine points in their stadium.

On the other hand, when emotions are too high, they can sometimes spill over onto the field and cause either team to play erratically.

Given the timing of the incident, it is unlikely that anyone will know much about what caused it for the majority of the afternoon.
But it’s safe to assume that when players and coaches meet with the media following the game, it will be a hot topic of discussion.
