Deion Sanders tees off on Colorado players after blowing massive lead to Stanford – Overtime Heroics
After Colorado blew a sizable lead to Stanford in overtime, Deion Sanders slammed the team, saying, “What we did today was pathetic.”.
In Boulder on Friday night, Stanford was outscored 29-0 by the Colorado Buffaloes. The Buffs appeared poised for a 50-point outburst in the game.
But a few hours later, Cardinal wide receiver Elic Ayomanor had 13 catches for 294 yards and three touchdowns, and the Buffs were defeated 46-43 in double overtime.
Colorado’s chances of winning the championship were severely damaged.
Just one week after Deion Sanders expressed displeasure with the performance of his team against Arizona State, the Buffs suffered their second loss of the year.
Following the game, social media erupted, and it will be a very long two weeks before the Buffs play again.
LOSS IS A BAD ONE.
The Kansas defeat that led to Dan Hawkins’ dismissal was worse than this.
One of the worst second halves in CU football history.

HISTORIC STANFORD COMEBACK
Stanford rallies from a 29-0 halftime deficit and upsets Colorado 46-43 in double overtime. It’s the biggest comeback in Cardinal history. They entered the game with one win (Hawaii) and lost to FCS Sacramento State earlier this season.

BOWL GAME PROBLEMS…
Stanford 46, Colorado 43 (2OT)
Epic CU collapse (up 29-0 at halftime) or incredible Stanford comeback? Both
But: Colorado’s bowl math just got much more difficult.

HEAD SCRATCHING DECISIONS
Is there a Pac-12 rule that prohibits coaches from going for winning 2-point conversion in 1st OT? Maddening
