Keefe sounds off on Maple Leafs stars after loss to Blackhawks
After the Maple Leafs’ loss to the Blackhawks, Keefe speaks out.
Following the Toronto Maple Leafs’ 4-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday night, head coach Sheldon Keefe criticized the best players on the team.
Particularly during the first two games of the season, when Toronto had been winning two straight, Keefe criticized the performance of the team’s stars.

The Blackhawks led 3-1 at the half after outshooting the Maple Leafs 9–7 in the opening period and 13–12 in the second.
Despite outshooting Chicago 16–9 in the last quarter, Toronto was unable to get past 34-save player Arvid Soderblom.

On Thursday, the Florida Panthers, who defeated Toronto in the second round of the playoffs last spring, will host the Maple Leafs for their first road game of the season.
