Irsay: NFL admits incorrect call was made late in Colts-Browns game.

Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay announced Tuesday that the NFL notified him after Sunday’s Colts-Browns game at Lucas Oil Stadium that the call was wrong.
The Colts defense was penalized by the officials for two controversial pass interference calls late in the game that ultimately put Cleveland in perfect position to win. Cleveland defeated the Colts 39-38 in a Week 6 NFL battle.
Colts Darrell Baker, who was penalized for two calls the NFL now admits were wrong, spoke about the officials’ controversial calls in an interview with News 8 on Sunday.

“You can see it from the street. He holds out his hand. I reach out and because I won’t let him push me to catch the ball.
When I hit the ball, I have to follow the rules and always be fair.
But when you get a bad call like this, you really can’t do any better.
What else should I do? Baker said.

The loss dropped the Colts to 3-4 and ended their first losing streak of the season, where they have now lost two games in a row.
Irsay believes the NFL should implement instant replay for all calls, including penalties, in the final two minutes of every game.

Meanwhile, the Colts played Sunday’s game against the Browns without Anthony Richardson, who is out for the season with a shoulder injury.
Irsay said Richardson had shoulder surgery in Los Angeles on Tuesday and it was successful. Irsay said it was a long procedure that took place on Richardson’s shoulder.
No new surprises were discovered during surgery.
Richardson is in good condition and a return date has not yet been set.
The Colts host New Orleans at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
