Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay recently took to social media to share his thoughts on Indy’s controversial ending, and he may have said too much.

The Indianapolis Colts lost 39-38 to the Cleveland Browns in Week 7.
This defeat was especially painful because it was controversial. During Cleveland’s game-winning drive, Indianapolis cornerback Darrell Baker Jr. Two questionable penalties.
The first broke up a turnover that would have given the Colts the win, and the second put the Browns at the 1-yard line for the game-winning score.

Team owner Jim Irsay, usually outspoken, had no immediate comment on the controversial call. That changed Tuesday night.
Irsay has posted several things via social media.
His first task was to announce that rookie Anthony Richardson had undergone surgery and that everything was going according to plan.
Then it got interesting.
Irsay said the NFL acknowledged to the team that the referees made the wrong call at the end of Sunday’s game.
Irsay then argued that the league should implement instant replay for all calls in the final two minutes of a game.
The announcement vindicated Colts fans, and while Irsay’s proposal may have resonated with many, it may have also violated league rules.

Shortly after Irsay’s post, the NFL’s Tom Pelissero reported that the league discusses the calls with teams on a weekly basis, but team officials are prohibited from speaking publicly about those discussions.
Now that Irsay has done this, Indy’s owners may face some consequences.

Yrsay seems pleased and eager to see the change.
If it means breaking the rules and promoting the race, then so be it.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport said his educated guess is the league will respond.
It will be interesting to see what kind of punishment the NFL actually imposes on Irsay and what that punishment is.
