JUST-IN: Minnesota Vikings addresses Harrison Smith trade rumors, amid eagle’s proposal

Smith spent 12 years with the Vikings after Minnesota selected him in the first round of the 2012 draft.
Are the Philadelphia Eagles trying to fill one of the few holes on their roster with longtime Viking Harrison Smith?

“The punters asked about Titans safety Harrison Smith before they made the trade,” KSTP’s Darren Wolfson said on the Mackey & Judd Show on Tuesday.
“The Vikings aren’t getting any closer to Philly.”

Philadelphia has finally reached an agreement with the Tennessee Titans for safety Kevin Byard.
Minnesota now appears to be out of a seller’s market, at least temporarily, after clinching an NFC playoff berth at .500 with a 22-17 win over the 49ers on Monday night.
Smith spent 12 years with the Vikings after being selected by Minnesota in the first round of the 2012 draft, and the 34-year-old has 34 career interceptions, the second most of any active player.
