Deion Sanders, Colorado land four-star QB recruit as potential heir apparent to Shedeur
Deion Sanders could have been called a follower of the great Colorado masterpiece.
Four-star recruit Antwan Hill Jr. has joined the Buffaloes.

Hill is a 6-foot-1, 215-pound quarterback from Warner Robbins who established himself as one of the most natural high school recruits.
Hill was ranked as one of the top 70 recruits in the country by 247 Sports and ranked No. 4 by ESPN Jr. He is ranked in the top 300 and top 50 nationally.
According to ESPN, the veteran signal caller has offers from several schools, including Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Auburn and Tennessee.
Hill said coming to Colorado last week to watch the Buffaloes at Stanford was a selling point for his commitment.
“The thing is, the fans are chanting my name and saying, ‘Look at AJ,'” Hill said, according to ESPN.
“It was something I had never seen before and it was not something I expected on this trip. I mean, the whole thing surprised me.
“It felt good to have a fan base behind this team.”
Of his situation in Colorado, Hill added, “[The coaches] really think I fit into their scheme and what’s going on.” “Coach [Sean] Lewis, the head coach, wanted me to take over after Scheder left.
So I will be the next top quarterback to fill that position.
And I think you’d better learn from Shedevir.
I just need to take notes from him, take his leadership skills and apply them to my own skills.
They actually told me as soon as Shedever left that I should be ready to take over because I’m next.
According to MaxPreps, the junior has 6,360 career passing yards, a 65.9 completion percentage, 71 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions.
Through seven games this season, Hill has 1,814 yards passing, 23 touchdowns and two interceptions.
As a sophomore, he had 3,663 passing yards and 40 touchdowns with three interceptions.
Sanders has 2,420 passing yards and 21 touchdowns this season along with three interceptions for the 4-3 Buffaloes.
Sanders also completed 72.3 percent of his passes and rushed for three touchdowns.
Before coming to Colorado State, Sanders played under his father at Jackson State, where he was named the 2022 SWAC Offensive Player of the Year and won the 2021 Jerry Rice Award for the most outstanding freshman at a Division I FCS school.
Sanders is eligible for the 2024 NFL Draft, but his father said earlier this fall that he doesn’t want to be a “backseat driver” for anyone, including Caleb Williams, who will be the No. 1 pick next year.
