Deion Sanders Called on to Take Over Top SEC Program
After Jimbo Fisher was fired from Texas A&M, many believed he would be the next Aggies head coach, and ESPN’s Stephen A.
Smith identified Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders as a possible candidate.
On ESPN’s “Stand Up” morning show, Smith cited Aggies sources to make his case on the coach’s behalf. Coach Prime has led the Buffaloes to four wins this season after the school went 1-11 last season with a different roster and coaching staff.
“Deion Sanders from the SEC spoke,” Smith said.
“With the safe they have. He can hire these pigs.
He doesn’t have them in Colorado and won’t be able to get them.
I don’t think they do. Texas A&M.
Deion Sanders at SEC Primetime?
That’s the way it should be.”

Sports Illustrated’s Josh Tolle said Sanders is not currently interested in leaving Colorado.
He also said that Sanders cannot run a program in Colorado.
Tolle also noted that Sanders recently signed a deal with Nike to bring back the Diamond Turf line, and the Aggies have a deal with Adidas.
Sanders and his recruiting staff might be intrigued by what he could bring to College Station, but that doesn’t seem likely.
Meanwhile, Coach Prime and the Buffaloes sit at 4-6 after a tough loss at home in Arizona.
They face Washington State on Friday, November 17th at 10pm on FS1.
The Buffaloes would need to beat Washington State and Utah in the final week of the regular season to qualify for the event. After starting the season so strong, the Buffaloes suddenly had trouble making a bowl game.
