Deion Sanders is taking action after receiving approvals to leave Colorado for Texas A&M.

Jimbo Fisher was fired as head coach at Texas A&M on Sunday, leading to heated speculation about who will replace him. Fisher left the team just hours after the team entered the 2023 NCAA football season with a 6-4 record and a 51-10 victory over Mississippi State.
Sanders is nearing the end of his first full season as head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes.
The NFL Hall of Famer left his coaching position at Jackson State University last December to transfer to Boulder, where he previously spent two years.
Colorado is now 4-6 on the season and 1-6 in the Pac-12 after the Buffaloes lost to No. 19 Arizona in Week 11.
Regardless of how the season ends, Sanders has helped the team significantly improve on its 1-11 record since 2022.
After Fisher left Texas A&M, Sanders was linked to the head coaching job.

Smith recently explained why he thinks Sanders is a perfect fit and why he could benefit from leaving Colorado.
However, Sanders responded to suggestions from Smith and others that he would take the job at Texas A&M.
The two-time Super Bowl winner gave a candid answer, stressing that his focus is solely on Colorado’s Week 12 game against Washington State.
“I want to win the game,” Sanders told reporters Tuesday, via ESPN .
“You really think I believe that?” “If you know me, you think I’m like, ‘Oh, okay, Stephen A.’ Come on, I’m fine.
We have to win.”
Sanders signed a five-year, $29.5 million contract with the Buffaloes in December 2022. The topic of Sanders’ future at Colorado continued at the press conference, where the former cornerback was asked what he would tell the parents of potential future recruits.
“I’ll tell them what I said when I came in: I’m here,” Sanders said.
“I tell them I have a mother, I have a sister, I have a dog, I have a daughter, I have three sons and my other daughter comes to every home game.
