Report: Broncos, Jaguars possible threats to sign Vikings’ unbelievable star

The Broncos will try to lock up Daniel Hunter on Sunday night, but he’s reportedly one of the teams looking to sign him as a free agent after the 2023-24 season.

Hunter, 29, will become a free agent in March.

Jacksonville and Denver are among the teams involved in a bidding war, according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.
“Other than Hunter, who averaged about 19 sacks per season, nobody helped his free agent profile,” Fowler wrote on ESPN.com on Wednesday.
Hunter will turn 29 in the 2024 season, opening the door to a lucrative three-to-four-year contract worth more than $20 million per season.
Jacksonville has long been a fan of Hunter, but Denver could look to bolster his pass rush.
“Typically, the Broncos aren’t afraid to spend money in March.”

Hunter is tied for the NFL lead in sacks and also has three forced fumbles, and according to Pro Football Focus, his 26 QBs are behind only Steelers star quarterback T.J. Watt ranks 17th in the NFL.
The leader is Maxx Crosby of the Raiders with 44 points. Hunter is unlikely to return to the Vikings, but it’s unclear where he is on the priority list, with Minnesota still needing to sign wide receiver Justin Jefferson and keep Christian Darissau long-term.
