Browns Expected to Sign this particular QB After Beating Steelers.

Coach Kevin Stefanski and the Cleveland Browns are expected to sign Joe Flacco soon.

The Cleveland Browns are coming off a 13-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, but are expected to bring in veteran quarterback Joe Flacco soon.
Flacco met with the Browns on Friday but was unable to reach an agreement during the visit.
However, he is expected to join the team soon.
“Joe Flacco’s workout for the Browns went well on Friday, and unless something surprising happens in the next few days, he could sign as the Browns’ third quarterback early next week in place of Deshaun Watson, who is out for the season with a broken shoulder.
.” Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot reported on Sunday, November 19.

PJ Walker, who started against the Steelers, and rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson are the two quarterbacks currently available for the Browns.
The Browns would have expected Thompson-Robinson to hold down the fort with Deshaun Watson entering the season with a shoulder injury.
However, the rookie’s performance against the Steelers didn’t inspire much confidence in the opposing team’s defensive abilities.

Thompson-Robinson went 24-of-43 for 165 yards against the Steelers. He also destroyed a baseball during a close game.
He hit a couple of key throws late to help the Browns to a field goal, then Dustin Hopkins scored the game-winner with seconds left.

“This is an important moment.
Looking for a man to get over it. Browns coach Kevin Stefanski said, “Go when it counts.”

Browns players also praised Thompson-Robinson after the win.
“We’re going to take it to 17,” cornerback Greg Newsome said after the game.
“I told him he would take us to the promised land.”

Flacco’s contract may not mark the start of DTR.
It could take time for Flacco to get used to the system and for Thompson-Robinson to continue getting valuable NFL reps.

Flacco is 38 years old and has considerable experience, including a Super Bowl win with the Baltimore Ravens in 2013.
Flacco won the Super Bowl in that game.
He last started a game for the New York Jets in 2022.
He passed for 1,051 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions in four starts.

The Browns defense returned to action against the Steelers.

The Browns improved to 7-3 with the win over the Steelers, further boosting their postseason hopes.
Much of that can be attributed to a defense that allowed just 249 total yards.

Most of that came on a 74-yard run by Steelers RB Jaylen Warren, Pittsburgh’s only touchdown of the day.
The Browns limited Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett to 106 yards.

Myles Garrett led the Browns offense from the start. On the Steelers’ first drive, he forced a safety and sacked Pickett.

“It was a little trick we had,” Garrett said, adding that he thought it was a safety measure.
“I saw the night and I saw pickets.
He had nowhere to move.
He couldn’t go left or right because it would be a safety issue.
The show is over.”

Garrett finished with a pair of sacks and is currently tied for first in the NFL with 13 this season.
