Doctor provides concerning injury update on Packers’ Christian Watson
Packers’ Christian Watson injured by doctor The Green Bay Packers had an impressive win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 12 on “Sunday Night Football” at Lambeau Field.
The 27-19 win was their third straight win and fourth in their last five games, improving their season record to 6-6.
With this win, the Packers are tied with the Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, and Los Angeles Rams at 6-6 for one of the NFC’s wild-card spots.
The schedule for the rest of the season isn’t as tough either, as there are no longer any teams with records above .
500.
But the road to the playoffs came to a halt on Sunday night.
Wide receiver Christian Watson, who has found much of his footing over the past two games, suffered a hamstring injury late in the fourth quarter and sat out the game.
Watson received a quick end-around shovel pass from Jordan Love and was able to gain enough yards before going down.
There is some hope that it was just a cramp that Watson was dealing with, as he was seen running around the pitch and exchanging pleasantries after the game.
But Dr.
Jesse Morse of X, formerly known as his Twitter, has shared an even more worrying update.
This is Watson’s fifth right hamstring injury since 2021, as he missed the first three games of the 2023 season with an injury.
Morse expects Watson will likely be out for a week or two, depending on the severity of his strain.
This is a tough blow for the Packers, who will likely rely on Romeo Doubes and Dontaevion Wicks to fill in if Watson is sidelined.
Watson had two of his best games of the season yesterday against the Detroit Lions and Chiefs on Thanksgiving Day.
In those two games, he caught 12 passes for 165 yards, three touchdowns, and rushed two for 15 yards.
That’s the kind of impact the Packers were hoping for from their 2022 second-round pick out of North Dakota State.
Watson has the skill and talent to turn things around, but has struggled to stay healthy throughout his career.
