NFL could take action against Eagles chief security officer for role in 49ers scuffle
The NFL could file a lawsuit against the Eagles’ security chief for his involvement in the 49ers brawl.
Less than 24 hours later, Philadelphia Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro became an online sensation for his involvement in a scuffle with San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
This led to a situation where he could be subject to disciplinary action from the NFL.
The NFL is reportedly investigating the incident between DiSandro and Greenlaw, and the league plans to contact the Eagles later this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
DiSandro was ejected from Sunday’s game along with Greenlaw, but after several pregame brawls, the NFL announced in late October that 32 teams involved in brawls had serious consequences, including disqualification.
He’s not necessarily dangerous, as he sent a memo to 32 teams explaining his potential impact.
Unpaid fines and/or suspensions.
The memo also states that team players and non-players who participate in games that are already in progress may be subject to “more significant liability measures.
” “Sportsmanship and respect are core to NFL football, and fighting is inconsistent with those values,” the memo reads, via Pro Football Talk.
“Fighting is never acceptable as it creates a risk of unnecessary injury to players, coaches, officials and other match day personnel.

.
.We will strictly enforce these policies, with both NFL Football Operations staff and game officials closely monitoring team activities.
” According to NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, D.
Sandro and Greenlaw reportedly spoke before the match started.
He also said DiSandro spoke with 49ers general manager John Lynch after the game and explained his role in the incident, saying it “ended well.
” Lynch was more calm than 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan, who told reporters after the game that he was pulled back because DiSandro, who is not even on Philadelphia’s coaching staff, was allowed to interact with players.
Dealt with the situation.
“I can’t believe that someone who has nothing to do with the game of football would abuse players like that and put his hands in players’ faces,” Shanahan said.
“From what I hear, Dre did that to him and he kicked him in the face a little bit so he got kicked out.
It was a very frustrating match.
