NFL Sends Steelers Strong Message
NFL Issues Firm Message to Steelers
The Pittsburgh Steelers need to pay attention now.
The NFL sent a pretty strong message to the 7-6 playoff hopes over the weekend, so perhaps the Pittsburgh Steelers were paying attention. And they could have a chance to salvage their season if they actually do follow it.
The rest of the NFL was playing games, but the Steelers were sitting at home attempting to analyze consecutive losses to losing football clubs. Although Pittsburgh managed to sneak back into the AFC playoff picture, the league wasn’t conveying that as its message.
Teams warned the Steelers to keep an eye on them because not all quarterback situations are as clear-cut as Pittsburgh would have them be.
This past weekend, everyone watched as Zach Wilson, Jake Browning, and Joe Flacco lit up the scoreboards in route to victory. Though it’s not always as cut-and-dry as it seems on the stat sheet afterward, those three quarterbacks sent the Steelers a clear message about how they ought to play the remainder of the season.
