“There might be a surprise or two,” Deion Sanders said early on Colorado’s signing day.
Coach Prime isn’t hard to find, so expect it to be top of the class next year.
Deion Sanders and his Colorado Buffaloes embarked on a short-term rebuild.
It started the day after the season ended and the work hasn’t stopped since.
On Tuesday night, Coach Prime secured his 16th transfer player when Pitt defenseman Samuel Okunlola announced he was coming to Boulder.
With most of CU’s portal targets secured, Sanders hinted on Wednesday how soon signing day could begin for the Buffs.
He suggested that some flips might be in order.
“You’ll probably experience one or two of these amazing things,” Sanders said in an interview with The Associated Press, “Wow, they’re building something special.
” Told.
Colorado’s 2024 recruiting class will feature nine players from four states.
Although that seems low overall, Coach Prime took a “quality over quantity” approach and had four players ranked in the nation’s top 100 recruits, including five-star top offensive lineman Jordan Seaton.
A player was appointed.
The Buffs have a balanced combination of five players on defense and four on offense, and are currently ranked 21st in the contract period.
Sanders and his staff are keeping an eye on a small number of recruits who could come to Boulder as late arrivals.
Four-star blue-chip offensive lineman Jaquon McCloy took an official visit this month for his prime visit.
The Oregon State product from Pinson, Alabama, had a great performance in the state championship game.
He will be a huge asset for the Buffs, especially after losing Matthew Bedford to the Ducks.
Colorado has a lot of talent for next year.
It’s not an overhaul of the roster from a year ago, but it’s still important to the Buffs’ success in the Big 12.
