Blue Coats’ Sean Kuraly implodes behind group seat after hit in startling scene

Group says Kuraly was set free from emergency clinic, all tests negative

Columbus Blue Coats forward Sean Kuraly required paramedics after he imploded Saturday late evening following a hit from Toronto Maple Leafs defenseman Jake McCabe.

The occurrence happened with under brief left in the principal period. Kuraly was attempting to go for the puck behind the Maple Leafs goaltender when McCabe hit him in the chest area in what appeared to be a standard hockey hit. Kuraly had difficulty returning to the bench.

The Bally Games broadcast looked as coaches assisted Kuraly with strolling back to the storage space through the passage. Play on the ice halted as paramedics went onto the ice and hurried into the passage to get to Kuraly. As indicated by the Columbus Dispatch, Kuraly fell as he was assisted back to the storage with living.

With 18.3 seconds remaining, the period was stopped and the remaining time was played just before the second period started.

Indeed, even with the startling sight, the Blue Coats said the injury didn’t have all the earmarks of being serious, yet Kuraly was taken to the emergency clinic for additional assessment.

“I was informed that all ought to be great, yet they’re checking to ensure all is Well,” Columbus mentor Pascal Vincent said after the game, per the New York Post. ” It was a startling second. You understand what occurred, the hit, and afterward he returned to the seat, [but] then what occurred in the passage, I don’t have the foggiest idea. I just saw the coaches and the clinical staff, and it was critical. It is unpleasant. You would rather not see that.”

On Sunday, the group said all tests were negative and Kuraly was sent home Saturday night.
