OFFICIAL: UGA announces resignation of 2 football coaches

Special teams coordinator Scott Cochran is among the coaches leaving.

The University of Georgia announced several changes to its football staff on Wednesday.

Special teams coordinator Scott Cochran and offensive analyst Darrell Dickey are resigning to “pursue other opportunities,” the school announced in a release.

“I want to thank Scott and Darrell for their contributions to Georgia football. We wish them all the best moving forward,” Smart said.

UGA announced that Kirk Benedict, who has served on Kirby Smart’s staff as a special teams analyst the last two seasons, will be promoted to special teams coordinator.
