Ladd McConkey Named the Senior Bowl “Power Player”

The recognition for Ladd McConkey’s community service continues to roll in.

Georgia football has been known for its dominance on the field by players such as Brock Bowers, Jalen Carter, and Ladd McConkey. But one of the more important parts of college football comes off the field and the work a program does in the community.

Ladd McConkie was the face of community service for the Bulldogs and won the Wuerffel Trophy. However, he continues to be recognized for his accomplishments in the community, including being named “Strong Player” at the Senior Bowl. He made many contributions to the city of Athens and became a positive role model for the city. At the Senior Bowl, McConkie was announced as the recipient of the award as part of the exciting final few days of the Würfel Trophy presentation. Community service is important no matter your position, whether you are a two-time Division I national champion or a good citizen who wants to serve your community. McConkey explains this concept perfectly.

McConkie’s draft numbers have increased significantly since his Senior Bowl days, and he’ll have a chance to increase them even more when he heads to Indianapolis for the NFL Draft Combine.
