Tiger gets in trouble because of his caddy, faces the risk of having his clubs suspended and losing his entire career
Florida citizen Brian Borruso accused Joe LaCava – Woods’ caddy – of being injured at the 2018 Valspar Championship.
Although not a direct litigant, Woods is still named as a defendant for hiring LaCava.
This caddy has worked with famous player Fred Couples for a long time and started working side by side with Woods from near the end of 2011 until now.
According to the lawsuit filed in Pinellas County Court on April 7, the incident occurred in the third round of the tournament, in the area near the green of hole 13 of Innisbrook Stadium.
At that time, Borruso was taking photos at the exit of Woods’ 14th hole tee box, and LaCava intentionally pushed hard, causing the plaintiff to fall into the crowd of spectators.
According to Josh Drechsel – the lawyer representing Borruso, the reason the lawsuit was officially opened two years
After the incident was because the plaintiff wanted to “thoroughly evaluate the injuries”, as well as to collect sufficient evidence and relevant documents.
The plaintiff’s lawyer called for supporting evidence from fans who were present at the green of hole 13 and witnessed the incident.
One of the video evidence presented by the plaintiff showed LaCava approaching the crowd, extending his left arm and saying “you have to stay back”.
Attorney Drechsel said he also wanted to find the people whose voices were in another video.
In it, one person spoke and referred to LaCava: “I love Tiger but don’t like him. He pushed him. Just pushed.”
Drechsel asked for a video about the 2018 Valspar Championship, but the PGA Tour refused and said it would only provide documents with a court order.
In the lawsuit, Borruso said he had to go to the hospital to treat his injuries.
Currently, Mark Steinberg, Woods’ representative, remains silent, while LaCava said he has no opinion on this case.Tiger gets in trouble because of his caddy, faces the risk of having his clubs suspended and losing his entire career (video) – FOXNEWS

In 2018, Valspar played an important role for Woods after a long break from playing due to a chronic back injury.
At that time, he shared the final runner-up position at -9 with Patrick Reed, and Paul Casey won the championship with 1.17 million USD at -10.
Last season, Casey successfully defended the title. This year’s event was canceled because of Covid-19.
