NFL fans react to Josh Allen’s announcement.

Josh Allen, the quarterback for the Buffalo Bills, was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week by the NFL in recognition of his performance in Week 4.

Josh Allen has begun to find his rhythm after a shaky start to the season in which he lost control of the ball four times (three interceptions, one fumble) in an overtime loss to the New York Jets. Allen and the Bills have won three games in a row without pretending to be Superman, including their most recent rout of the Miami Dolphins, who scored 70 points the week before.

Allen was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week for his work in Buffalo’s 48-20 victory over the Dolphins in Week 4. The MVP candidate had an 84 percent completion rate on 21 of 25 attempts, 320 passing yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions.
Allen scored five touchdowns in total, adding a ground score to his four other rushes for 17 yards and one more.

In the victory on Sunday, he also recorded his first ever perfect passer rating (158 points).

Allen has now won player of the week honors in five of his 11 regular-season games against the Buffalo Bills, per the team’s public relations department.

Allen has now won Player of the Week 12 times in his career, breaking a franchise record.
