‘ healthy,’ when/why would trading for Jonathan Taylor make sense for the Browns?

When/why would the Browns benefit from trading for Jonathan Taylor if he were “finally healthy”?

Jonathan Taylor might be the Browns’ best available option because it is impossible to replace Nick Chubb.

In professional sports, there are a lot of unlikely events that could happen, but that doesn’t make them any less interesting to talk about.
Jonathan Taylor, a running back for the Indianapolis Colts, feels “finally healthy” for the first time since then.
This week marked the beginning of Taylor’s three-week journey toward being able to remove himself from the PUP list.

The Colts gave Taylor a chance to request a trade earlier this offseason, but nothing happened as a result of an injury, trade demand, or other factors.

The Cleveland Browns lost running back Nick Chubb to a season-ending injury around the same time. Chubb may also sit out a portion of the upcoming season.

The Browns should trade for Taylor, according to rumors, discussions, and two circumstances that seem to go well together.

In order for Cleveland to make such a deal, it would need to be more than just an attempt to help them compete in the AFC North, as they will have very few draft assets and even less salary cap space starting next year.
This kind of trade would probably result in the loss of valuable draft picks in 2024 or 2025, as well as have a significant negative impact on players who might be kept in the following season.

For instance, acquiring Taylor might reduce or eliminate the likelihood that safety Grant Delpit and wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones will be able to sign new contracts when the season is over.
Beginning the following year, other options, such as trading for DE Za’Darius Smith and signing DT Shelby Harris, would no longer be available.

So, we ask you the following questions.

How successful must Cleveland be by the trade deadline on October 31st in order for a Taylor trade to make sense?

What number of draft picks would you be willing to trade to get Taylor?

What kind of season-altering potential does Taylor have for the Browns?
