Deion Sanders inspires Bryce Harper to crush two moonshots vs Braves in NLDS

Before launching two home runs against the Atlanta Braves in Game 3 of the 2023 NLDS, Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper drew motivation from Colorado head coach Deion Sanders.

Bryce Harper entered Citizens Bank Park with a swagger while sporting a Deion Sanders T-shirt and an air of sour resolve.
The Philadelphia Phillies star then hit two enormous home runs in Game 3 of the National League Division Series to help his team defeat the Atlanta Braves, 10-2.

After the previous game, Braves shortstop Orlando Arcia’s antics incensed Harper.
Ha-ha, atta-boy, Harper, Arcia reportedly said in reference to Harper’s participation in a game-winning double play from Game 2. On Wednesday, as Arcia rounded the bases after hitting two home runs, Harper looked down at him.

The Sanders shirt boosted Harper’s spirits.
On top of the background of Folsom Field, the Buffaloes’ stadium, were several images of Coach Prime.
This season, his Colorado team has been inspired by what it refers to as “saved receipts.”.
Both Jay Norvell and Matt Rhule served as opponents for the Buffaloes.
Arcia was in Harper.

Also arriving at the stadium in Buffaloes attire was Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos.
He also had a productive night at the plate, slugging two home runs.

The resounding victory for Philadelphia was a strong continuation of Game 2’s outcome.
The Phillies held a lead for the majority of the game and didn’t allow the Braves to get a hit until the sixth inning.
After that, they allowed two-run home runs to Travis d’Arnaud and Austin Riley before the Braves caught Harper trying to advance to third base to end the game.

Regarding the last out, Thomson stated that Harper “thought the ball was clearly over [Harris’] head.”.
He didn’t believe he would succeed in catching it.
Harris also made a really strong play.
Unbelievable.
He slipped while attempting to turn around.
“.

The power hitter continued, “I mean, he made a good play.
Knowing myself, I probably shouldn’t have stepped over second base.
I made a decision, though, and I’ll live with it.
“.

Even though injuries have restricted Harper recently, he has performed up to his contract for the Phillies in crucial situations. He won MVP of the NLCS in 2022.
In Philadelphia’s six playoff series, he has hit nine home runs.

Harper’s four and fifth career postseason long balls against the Braves are as significant a performance as he’s ever given in the context of reeling from a demoralizing Game 2 and needing a boost.
His home runs were also moonshots, with the first one traveling 408 feet at 109 mph and the second 414 feet at 109 mph.

In the sixth inning, Trea Turner, who had previously played with Harper on the Washington Nationals, hit a home run to increase Philadelphia’s lead.
The task was completed by a variety of fireballing relievers.
The Phillies, who advanced to the World Series last year, are currently one victory away from making it to the NLCS for the second consecutive season. They do adhere to Deion Sanders’ advice to have faith in oneself.
