Kelly Piquet sends heartfelt message to Max Verstappen

Prior to moving on and starting a relationship with Max Verstappen, Kelly Piquet was in a relationship with Daniil Kvyat.

Kelly Piquet congratulated her boyfriend, Max Verstappen, on winning his third Drivers’ Championship on social media following the Qatar Grand Prix last weekend.

The Brazilian model, who has been romantically linked to the Dutchman since 2021, frequently appears in the pit area to cheer on the Red Bull driver, and last weekend at the Lusail International Circuit was no exception.

She observed as the 26-year-old won a third straight championship, tying him with Ayrton Senna, Niki Lauda, and Piquet’s father, Nelson Piquet, among other notables.

As a result of Sergio Perez’s crash, Verstappen won the sprint race in Qatar, securing the title without even having to finish.

Verstappen would have won the championship even if Perez hadn’t crashed out thanks to his P2 finish.

His dominance this season was further cemented when he went on to win the race on Sunday from pole position.

Piquet revealed how “proud beyond words” she is of her boyfriend in an Instagram post that included a collection of images and video clips from Qatar.

What an honor it was to see you win not one, not two, but THREE world championships, Piquet wrote in an Instagram post with several images of Verstappen.

“What you have accomplished is truly spectacular, and you never cease to astound us.

“I hope you enjoy every second; I am so proud beyond words.
Bravo, Red Bull team.
“.

The Brazilian driver’s daughter Penelope, whose father is former Formula One driver Daniil Kvyat, lives with Verstappen and Piquet in Monaco.

While Verstappen ironically replaced the Russian driver at Red Bull in 2016, Piquet and Kvyat were romantically involved from 2017 to 2019.

The Red Bull driver and Penelope, who frequently makes amusing appearances in the reigning World Champion’s Twitch streams, are frequently pictured together, as are Verstappen and Piquet.

Verstappen now has five races to enjoy himself and attempt to break his record for most victories in a season since both of the 2023 titles have already been decided.

With five races left, he is just one victory away from tying his incredible record from last season, which he broke with his 15 victories in 2022.
