JUST-IN: the Indianapolis Colts have been told to trade this wide receiver.
The Indianapolis Colts could use another wide receiver, and trading Jerry Jeudy makes sense for the franchise.
Jeudy, currently a member of the Denver Broncos, has been the subject of numerous trade rumors in recent weeks.
As the NFL trade deadline approaches (Oct.
31), the 2-5 Broncos can expect a huge selloff. Denver has already made several moves, including trading linebacker Randy Gregory to the San Francisco 49ers and shipping Frank Clark.
That being said, it wouldn’t be surprising if the team moves Jeudy as well.
The Colts and Broncos have been in trade talks about a deal that would send Jewdy to Indianapolis.
Of course, there was no agreement yet.
Indianapolis needs all the talent it can get.
Especially now that quarterback Anthony Richardson is out for the season with a shoulder injury.
The Indianapolis Colts should consider trading Jerry Jeudy.
College star, but NFL disappointment
Judy is known for her highly successful academic career.
The Deerfield Beach, Florida native spent three seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide and developed into one of the best tight ends in the country.
In his freshman season, Jewdy had 14 catches, 264 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
He later became a major star, recording 68 receptions for 1,315 yards and 14 touchdowns as a sophomore.
He caught 77 passes for 1,163 yards and 10 touchdowns during his junior year.
Judy received the 2018 Fred Biletnikoff Award, given to the nation’s top honoree. He also became the second player in Alabama history to record back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons.
The Broncos then selected Jeudy with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Unfortunately, he has been a big disappointment so far as a pro. In 46 career games, he has 177 catches for 2,517 yards and nine touchdowns.
Jeudy will become Russell Wilson’s primary offensive weapon this season.
Additionally, his production will increase with the hiring of head coach Sean Payton.
But he managed just 20 catches for 222 yards and no touchdowns.
He also has a career average of 44.4 yards per game.
Jeudy didn’t live up to his first-round pick status.
2020 first-rounder Justin Jefferson, C.D. Lamb and Brandon Ayuk are among them.
Why should the Colts trade Jerry Judy?
Jewdy didn’t live up to first-round expectations with the Broncos, but should the Colts still consider a trade?
First of all, he is very talented and he is only 24 years old.
Additionally, he has the potential to become an NFL wide receiver.
Perhaps a trade to the Colts could be just what Jerry Judy needs to jumpstart his career. Sometimes changes in nature are enough for a person to fully reveal his potential.
With Richardson out, Gardner Minshew will now be the starting quarterback for the Colts.
Add another weapon like Jeudy with Michael Pittman Jr. And rookie Josh Downs could help the veteran signal caller this year.
The Colts, currently 3-4, have a chance to make the playoffs without Richardson. If Jeudy is available, the team should take him.
