Deion Sanders responds to the Saturday Night Live skit.
Coach Prime had no problem portraying himself on the popular sketch show.
Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders saw the Saturday Night Live parody and loved it.
At his weekly press conference on Tuesday, he was asked about acting and praised the talents of SNL cast member Kenan Thompson.
“I’m a Kenan fan.
To be clear, I love him.
I love what he brings to comedy and it feels like he’s been around for decades,” Sanders said.
Coach Prime also recalled a time 30 years ago when he had the opportunity to host the event. He took the stage and performed his internationally acclaimed hit song “Must be the Money” to the audience.
“I’ve been lucky enough to host ‘Saturday Night Live’ in the past and I’ll never forget that moment. But it was good,” Sanders said.
“The best person I think is…
I have to hand it over to Lu Yong.” Sanders said.
“I hate to admit it, but Lou is fine.”
One media outlet made people laugh by saying that Sanders is indeed the best impersonator of Coach Prime.
Sanders’ younger son teased his father on Instagram, asking if he could listen to an audiobook.
He also regularly channels his father figure.
Sanders and the Buffs travel to California to face No. 23 UCLA on Saturday, Oct.
28.
The match will be broadcast on ABC and will start at 19:30.
