Christian Horner humbles Lewis Hamilton with sharp response to Red Bull criticism.

Lewis Hamilton has criticized Red Bull for their treatment of F1 star Sergio Perez.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner has hit back at Lewis Hamilton over the team’s relationship with Sergio Perez.
The Mexican has been widely criticized by members of his own camp this season as he has struggled to keep up with Max Verstappen at the front of the field.

If Perez doesn’t get a one-two, it looks bad in a car as dominant as a Red Bull. The team has won all but one of the 18 grands prix this season and Hamilton is looking for his first race win since 2021.

Before the Mexican Grand Prix, Hamilton expressed sympathy for Perez as he believed Red Bull had set him up.
The World Champion in the July World Sports said, β€œI think his team will not help him.

“Red Bull contains many members, but some people are psychologically influenced and supported.
It must be very hard to hear those negative things about me every weekend.”

Horner was not happy with the criticism ahead of Saturday’s qualifying and reminded Hamilton that Verstappen had challenged his Red Bull team-mate’s standards earlier this year.
The 49-year-old said: “It’s great that Luis Perez, who had raised questions about the health of Team Max members a few weeks ago, has shown so much care and concern.” β€œThere are always rumors in this paddock.
This is especially true when you have little to write about.
But [Perez] has a good relationship with the team.

“He’s also got a strong team-mate and we’d love to see him finish second in the Drivers’ Championship, which is something we’ve never done before.
It’s a one-two punch.”

Horner’s comments were echoed by Britain’s Hamilton last month.
β€œAll my classmates were stronger than Max’s classmates. Jenson [Knop], Fernando [Alonso], George [Russell], Valtteri [Bottas], Nico [Rosberg].
Mende kop boldly.
“These guys were all very strong and consistent, and Max never competed with anyone.”

Perez takes the wheel and sits second in the championship, 39 points ahead of third-placed Hamilton with four races remaining. There may be no better place for the Mexican to extend his lead than at this weekend’s home Grand Prix.
Hamilton was pessimistic about Mercedes’ chances of a comeback victory at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, describing his car’s actual performance as “night and day” compared to a promising race in Austin last weekend.
