Red Sox Prospect Infielder Emerging With Glowing Review From Teammate

The Red Sox have agreed to terms with Craig Breslow, who has accepted an offer to become Boston’s new chief baseball officer.

The Boston Red Sox have revitalized their once underperforming farm system with promising talent coming up from the minor leagues.
Currently ranked in the top five players in the farm system, Red Sox shortstop Chase Meydroth is considered a promising player in Boston’s farm system.

“This guy is a player,” Red Sox pitcher Christopher Troy told NESN.com.
Play with “California confidence.” There is.
The defense is great.
It just fits.
“It comes up every day.”

The Red Sox originally selected Maidro in the fourth round of the 2022 MLB Draft.
During his college and summer ball years, the outfielder turned into an on-base machine, consistently posting a high on-base percentage in the mid 400s.
After being called up in 2022, Maidroth sparked with a .977 OPS in 22 games between Rookie Ball and Low-A Salem in the Limited Pro Bowl.

Although the numbers remained consistent through the 2023 season, Meidrot had another solid season, hitting .271/.408/.391 with nine home runs in 111 games between High-A Greenville and Double-A Portland.
As his offensive skills gained experience, Meidrot’s defensive skills developed, making him one of three Portland Sea Dogs players recognized by Baseball America for defensive excellence in Double-A in 2023.

While not the flashiest or most well-known prospect, Troy Meydroth noted that his ability on the field confirms his potential with the Red Sox.
“He’s quiet.” Troy added.
“He is a quiet person.
He doesn’t really use social media which I respect.
I don’t think it really gets the attention it deserves.

The Boston-based organization’s 20th unit is coming in 2023.
With several outstanding outfielders in the Red Sox farm system, Meydroth is doing his best to capture their talent.
