Colorado’s Shilo Sanders Ejected for Targeting After Big Hit on UCLA Pass Catcher

Colorado had a close game against no.
23 UCLA in the first half and will now have to play the rest of the game without its stout defense.

Buffalo defensive back Shiloh Sanders was ejected late in the second quarter for targeting UCLA quarterback Carsen Ryan.
Ryan ran down the sideline and caught a pass from quarterback Ethan Garbers.
Sanders scored under Ryan’s helmet.
Sanders celebrated and lay down after hitting the shot, thinking the shot was clean. However, on review, it was confirmed that Sanders came out wearing a helmet and was ejected for being a target.
Due to a second quarter penalty, Sanders will not be able to play in the second half, but could start next Saturday’s game against Oregon State.
