Entering the final month of his first season in Colorado, Deion Sanders and the Buffaloes need two wins to clinch the trophy after losing 28-16 at UCLA on Saturday.
Sanders said Colorado is not focused on the postseason.
He is more concerned with protecting quarterback Sheder Sanders and the continued development of two-time All-Star Travis Hunter.
A national poll ranked Colorado’s latest setback after a game full of chances for the Buffaloes, who failed to score four points against the nationally ranked Bruins.

Earlier, veteran running back Shiloh Sanders threw a short pass over the shoulder of UCLA’s Carson Ryan and was immediately whistled.
“They have to keep it.
If he breaks it down, it’s impossible,” Deion Sanders said.
“I don’t think he’s guilty because his shoulders are completely turned. He always does.
He knows how to hit.
I told him I was proud of him.

He dominated on the defensive side of the ball.
