Deion Sanders reacts to brutal news.
“We don’t care if we don’t win the cup, we will try to win.”
After a strong start to the 2023 college football season, the Colorado Buffaloes now find themselves in a brutal situation.
To qualify for a bowl game, they must win two of their final four games, most of which they will likely lose. But coach Deion Sanders isn’t too worried about that.
After UCLA’s loss to the Bruins on Saturday, Deion Sanders had a strong reaction to the brutal news about Colorado State’s bowl eligibility, suggesting he’s not particularly worried about his team making it to a bowl.
“It doesn’t matter if we don’t win the cup, we will try to win.
Period,” Sanders said on On3.
We’re trying to win, not saying, ‘Oh, we’ve got to go to a bowl.’ period. I think we showed it in the first half and the second half.
I know they came back as soon as the second half started and the young players played excellently.
I really did.
“They were playing.
We have made many mistakes and we know we can do better. They forced them, but we made some big defensive mistakes that allowed them to do what they did.”
But for Colorado, winning and finding a bowl go hand in hand.
We have to make sure they can do it.
