Deion Sanders addresses the burglary of his players in UCLA locker room

Several Colorado State football players said they received jewelry from lockers during UCLA games. Deion Sanders says action is needed from the NCAA.
Colorado coach Deion Sanders held his weekly press conference Tuesday morning and immediately addressed the position of the CU players during Saturday’s game.

After the Buffaloes lost to the UCLA Bruins in the Rose Bowl, several Colorado football players reported that personal jewelry left in the locker room was missing.
Well Off Media, run by Deion Sanders Jr., posted a video of Colorado players talking about the incident outside the locker room after the game. Pasadena Police told 9NEWS that police are investigating.
Sanders mentioned the theft during a news conference on Tuesday.

“Last week my children were robbed during a game.
“I think it’s stupid,” Sanders said.
“I expect the NCAA to do something about it.”

“I am confident that these students are not thinking about insurance now and at this point in their lives.
We talked about NIL and how they manage their finances.
“We gave them financial planners and resources, but we left out the insurance part and didn’t educate them about it.”

“We know that children will be open about stolen items, and so will some of our staff. And all of those things need to be replaced,” Sanders said.
“This is a bowl of roses.
People called him “everyone’s grandfather”. Yes?
I’m sure my grandfather had money.
It must have been grandfather’s money to give birth to these children.

“I will take stock of these young people and I know they will be honest about what they have lost, so we will try to get them back.
They might not get stuff, but they should be able to make it up.
Was awesome. But I heard the home team (UCLA) got robbed too.”

“I hope we can do something about the NCAA.
For everything else, you have to take action. Do something about it,” Sanders said.

At 9:22 p.m., Saturday, October 28, Pasadena Police received a report of a theft that occurred in the University of Colorado locker room during a game against UCLA. Colorado Rose Bowl football game.
Pasadena Police told 9NEWS that several pieces of jewelry, other personal items and football equipment were involved in the theft. Police said: “The extent of the damage is yet to be confirmed” and added: “During the investigation we plan to check security camera footage in the area and review existing footage.” Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call Pasadena police at 626-744-4241.

“It is our understanding that personal items were taken from the locker room by CU players during Saturday’s game against UCLA in the Rose Bowl,” CU said in a statement.
“We are in contact with UCLA and the Pasadena police.
The Pasadena Police Department is the lead agency in the investigation.”

Sanders and his team are preparing for another matchup this week against a highly ranked opponent.
Sanders and the Buffaloes (4-4) next play No. 16 Oregon State (6-2) on Saturday at Folsom Field in Boulder.

Saturday’s game between the Colorado Buffaloes and the Oregon State Beavers starts at 8 p.m. MT and airs nationally on ESPN.
Colorado plays twice at 8 p.m. at Folsom Field on ESPN this season.
Coach Prime doesn’t like late primetime starts.
Late games don’t end after 11:30pm.
It may even last until Sunday morning. Each of Colorado’s late starts led to double overtime.
“Who makes games like this at 8pm?” This is the stupidest thing. Stupidest thing ever invented. Who wants to stay up until 8 p.m.?” Sanders said on his weekly radio show.
“How about the East Coast?
Interested in ratings?” Is anyone watching this? What to do with the kids all day until 8pm?
“What should I do at the hotel?”
