Colorado buffaloe officially addresses rumors Of Deion Sanders leaving Colorado
When Deion Sanders first joined the Colorado Buffaloes this year, there was a lot of talk about the program.
The Buffs are coming off a disappointing 1-11 campaign in 2022, and Coach Prime felt like a messiah who could turn the program’s fortunes in his favor.
Earlier in the season, Deion Sanders led Colorado buffaloes to three straight wins with wins over TCU, Nebraska and Michigan State. But after a dream start, they suffered back-to-back losses to Oregon and USC.
Then in Week 8, they suffered a disappointing loss to Stanford, something no one expected.
Last weekend they suffered another loss to the UCLA Bruins bringing their campaign to a 4-4 record.
There is currently no word on whether Deion Sanders plans to step down as Buffaloes head coach. The 56-year-old signed a five-year, $29.5 million contract after joining the program and is expected to be with the team through at least 2027.
Sanders also said on the Rich Eisen Show last September that he wouldn’t consider leaving college football for the NFL anytime soon.
“I like to study. I like impressionable young people who aren’t so financially rich that they can’t listen to you.” “At the next level, some of these people will make so much money that they won’t be able to hear or see what they need to see,” Sanders said.
But the road for Deion Sanders with the Colorado Buffaloes is not easy.
Next year they will join the Big 12 and face dangerous teams like Oklahoma and Texas.
Therefore, Coach Prime’s goal this season is to end the Pac-12 era with a successful record.
