Why Steelers wide receiver Diontae Johnson skipped the postgame interview, according to Kenny Pickett
Diontae Johnson, a wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers, had his best performance against the Tennessee Titans on Thursday in 11 calendar months and 11 NFL weeks. After the 90-yard receiving, one-score performance, the spotlight was waiting for him to absorb it, but he avoided it.
Instead, it was just Kenny Pickett in the spotlight during the Prime Video postgame interview.
Sideline reporter Kylee Hartung said to Pickett, “We wanted Diontae Johnson to join us for this interview so we could celebrate this moment he had tonight.”
Pickett made light of Johnson’s decision to cancel the interview. Since he’s from Florida, it could be a little chilly here. He may have entered because of this. With luck.
