After failing to move aside of a competitor in the pit exit during qualifying, George Russell violated a new Formula One regulation and received a grid penalty for the Brazilian Grand Prix.
During the Brazilian Grand Prix qualifying, George Russell blamed “screws and bolts” in the pit lane exit for his failure to move aside from Pierre Gasly.
Due to his interference with Alpine’s driver, the British racer was docked two positions from the starting grid. This weekend’s new regulations forbid drivers from stopping in the pit exit or traveling too slowly.
