The Leafs made the moves they believed they needed to be a Cup contender, but the results are yet to be seen. Barely above .500 and currently in status quo contract negotiations with their superstar Swede, William Nylander, Leafs GM Brad Treliving is reportedly preparing to move on from him.
Canucksandil#039; On the other hand, Brock Boeserand#039’s strong debut in the league sends a statement showing that he still achieved his killer goals.
INTERFERENCE THAT COULD HAVE LOST THE PERSIANS: NOT THE CANUCKS
Adding Boeser would mean the Leafs could earn a second-season $6.65 million winger if Nylander becomes a UFA at the end of the season and makes a HEFTY raise. The Canucks already have a tight salary cap, unless Nylander signs an extension close to the AAV, there is no world where Allvin would even consider this deal. Especially since Brock Boeser isn’t making this deal alone.
