Dak Prescott Sends Candid 1-Word Message on Cowboys-Eagles

GettyDak Prescott broke the news to the Dallas Cowboys about his response to the team and his disappointment with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Dallas Cowboys news shows Dak Prescott had the same reaction as many fans when the team fell behind by two goals in the fourth quarter against the Philadelphia Eagles. Prescott’s response to the overturned touchdown and going out of bounds on the two-point conversion: “hell.”

“Holy shit,” Prescott told reporters on Nov. 5, 2023, when asked about his reaction to potential field goals late in games. “A game of inches, honestly. I mean inches. The first one to Scoon [tight end Luke Schoonmaker] was probably the first one. Nice catch of him. That’s the first [thing] that comes to my mind.
“Great catch, way to compete. It’s very good to get that ball. Crazy that the knee went down a little early. Hard, frankly, it’s a game of inches. And then for me, really just mad at myself that I just didn’t go on the bar with two hands earlier. I dove in and thought I had one.”

The Dallas Cowboys lost two winning games to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Down 28-17 with 10:07 left, Dallas initially thought they had scored a touchdown. Replays showed rookie Luke Schoonmaker’s knee touch the ground before the ball crossed the goal line. It was a significant turning point in the game for the Cowboys as they went from touchdowns to turnovers. Later, Prescott appeared to make the two-point conversion to make it a three-point game at 28-25. Instead, the review showed that Prescott exited before crossing the plane with the ball.
It was also a significant play because it would have allowed Dallas to hit a potential game-tying field goal and send the game into overtime on its final drive. Instead, the Cowboys trailed immediately after CeeDee Lamb found the end zone on the last play. Cowboys news: Dak Prescott calls Eagles loss a game of inches

Despite the disappointment, Prescott wasn’t completely down after the game. Prescott noted that football is a “game of customs”, but added that the team took many positives from the loss.
“It’s a game of inches,” Prescott explained. “That’s why you have to love the game. It’s hard. It’s hard to win. We fought our ass off. They obviously put on a great NFC East matchup. They came out with it tonight.
“But like you just said, an inch or two in one of those three plays and we could be talking about a different outcome. But they got it. It’s fucked up. We’ll take it. We go ahead and use the battle. Use a lot of success. A lot of good came out of this game despite the loss.

Prescott threw for 374 yards and 3 touchdowns and completed nearly 66% of his passes for a loss. Dallas is a 15.5-point favorite against the Giants in Week 10, according to Cowboys news. Heavy Sports’ Quarter4 predictions give Dallas an 88% chance to win the NFC East matchup.
