Mercedes chief shares major Las Vegas Grand Prix concern

Mercedes Director of Trackside Performance Riccardo Musconi hints at potential challenges as he believes the weather in Las Vegas could present another obstacle for the team.
The return of the Las Vegas Grand Prix to the racing calendar was eagerly awaited, marking its first return since 1982.
Despite expectations, the somewhat controversial Las Vegas Grand Prix presented significant challenges to every team on the grid, leaving them unsure of what to expect.
While the lack of data remains a major concern for many, Mercedes boss Musconi hopes the weather will present an additional challenge.
“Well, it’s a whole new ball game,” Musconi said at the Akkodis F1 Race Debrief. “The weather plays a big part in this. It’s quite cold in Vegas this year, especially with the midnight sessions, and we have the softest tires in Vegas. That adds an extra dimension to the problem.
“It’s true that every team ventures into the unknown to some extent because we don’t have prior knowledge. So the preparation we do in the factory as to cover different dimensions, different aspects more than it usually does at other tracks.
