Maple Leaf rumors: Patrick Kane meets with Toronto on Tuesday.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are a very exciting team right now.
They have superstars everywhere. Guys like Auston Matthews, William Nylander, John Tavares and Mitch Marner lead the team. However, they can provide some help in goal and defense.
That means they could look for more firepower in the forward positions.
Despite adding players like Max Domi and Tyler Bertuzzi this offseason, they may be interested in adding a player like Patrick Kane.
Kane is undoubtedly one of the best players to ever play in the NHL.
A three-time Stanley Cup champion, he also won the Hart Trophy as league MVP, the Art Ross Award as league scoring leader and was named an All-Star multiple times.
He also won the Conn Smith Trophy as playoff MVP.

He played in 1,180 games, scoring 1,237 points, 451 goals and 786 assists.
Those are huge numbers for a man who turns 35 later this week.
He still has a few years of fantasy hockey left in him.
It would be crazy for Patrick Kane to go to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Kane had hip surgery at the start of the season. It happened when he was an unrestricted free agent and needed time to recover before signing with a team.
He didn’t want to rush anything.
Now rumors are starting to swirl about where he will sign.
Toronto is mentioned in John Shannon’s X report. He said Kane met with Toronto on Tuesday.
It doesn’t make sense for the Leafs, but they often tend to make strange decisions like this.
It doesn’t make sense because Kane’s strengths as a player aren’t something Toronto lacks. They need more power and support from the back. They have a lot of dynamic forwards in attack. Kane doesn’t have to do that.
Wherever he signs, the news will rock the hockey world.
He is a legend in the sport and has some time left.
If it’s Toronto, it’s a good story, no matter how much it makes sense or not.
