Mike Tomlin on Myles Garrett DPOY-like season: ‘I don’t care’

As usual, Mike Tomlin waxed poetic about the Pittsburgh Steelers’ upcoming opponent during his weekly press conference.
He highlighted Myles Garrett’s defensive skills more than any other player on the Cleveland Browns, and for good reason.
Through nine games, he put on a performance worthy of Defensive Player of the Year honors.
But MVP, like any defensive player in general, is a gamble.

Either way, Tomlin is sloppy.
“I don’t know and I don’t care.
When asked why it’s difficult for a defensive player to win MVP, Tomlin said, “I don’t like to vote.” All she cares about is Garrett.
Ahem, “Mr. Garrett” is slated to play against his offense on Sunday.

“Mr. Garrett has a special season ahead of him.
You don’t need my permission. All you have to do is watch the Cleveland Browns.
He is often the one who plays the most important role in determining the outcome of the game and that is his CV.

“You don’t have to add anything.
I’m sure we’ll work hard all week not to do that, but I’m sure everyone who plays it will.
“Turn on the tape, man.”

With one sack per game in all 11 games of the season, Garrett may finally have his career breakout. Dan Moore did his job for him, but was held to zero in Week 2.
In 11 career games with Pittsburgh, Garrett has seven sacks, 24 tackles (eight for a loss), 16 quarterback hits , two passes defended and three fumbles.
uncomfortable.
“That’s what people like him do.
We know we won’t have her back in the stadium this weekend. We already know that, so we’re preparing with that understanding, but like I said, we’re not a one-man band.

Cleveland has the best pass defense in the league, allowing 242 yards per game. Pittsburgh has the worst defense in the league, allowing 350 yards per game, but Cleveland has allowed 21 and 17 touchdowns.
