Green Bay Packers Fans React To Player With 3 Knee Surgeries Being Added To Game Day Roster
The Green Bay Packers are 3-6 through the first nine games of the 2023 season and will look to get as many positive results as possible through 2024.
Neither team is mathematically eliminated from the playoffs yet, but they should be.
It’s been quite some time before the Packers are back in the playoff conversation.
The top seven teams in each conference advance to the playoffs, and the Packers are currently ranked 11th in the NFC.
The Atlanta Falcons (4-6), Washington Commanders (4-6), Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) and Minnesota Vikings (6-4) sit between Green Bay and the wild card spot.
With eight games left, anything is still possible, but the Packers could be looking for a diamond in the rough for this team’s future.

The Green Bay Packers added safety Benny Sapp III to their game day roster.
According to many reports:
The Green Bay Packers promoted S Benny Sapp III from the practice squad to the active game day roster. General manager Brian Gutekunst announced the deal on Saturday.
Sapp originally joined the Packers last May as an undrafted free agent out of Northern Iowa and spent the entire season on Green Bay’s practice squad.
In the preseason, Sapp played 63 defensive snaps for Green Bay.
Against Seattle, he had four tackles, one reception on two targets for seven yards, one pass breakup and one interception.
Despite being on the original 53-man roster for a long time, Sapp was immediately returned to the practice squad after the roster cut in August.
Jonathan Owens and Anthony Johnson will start at safety, with Darnell Savage on injured reserve while Rudy Ford is questionable.
The backups include special teams covers Dallin Leavitt and Zane Anderson.
Owens and Johnson have been strong contributors on special teams in recent weeks, but their special teams roles could be reduced as each player is expected to play more defensively on Sunday, with Sapp coming in to provide additional depth.
Packers fans react to Sapp’s addition to the game day roster.

When Sapp was a three-star recruit at Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota, he suffered a knee injury that required surgery and missed his senior season.
Before that, Sapp was in St. Petersburg.
Toma d’Aquino was one of the best defensive defenders in the country. His performance as a freshman earned him offers from 21 colleges, including Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State and Michigan.
But Sapp tore his ACL during his sophomore year. In third grade, he broke it again.
His father, Benny Sapp II, moved the family to Minnesota to resume Sapp’s football career.
It’s been a long journey for Sapp and fans were excited to see him added to the game day roster.
