SAD NEWS: Browns recieves unexpected sad news about their top QB for the rest of the season

The Browns lost their top quarterback for the season to a biceps injury.

Another Brown injury, this time to safety Rodney McLeod, who will miss the rest of the season.

The story of the Cleveland Browns season isn’t completely written at this point, but injuries will be a special chapter in the story. Overcoming injuries along with a top-notch defense has been the theme for the Browns, who start the year with a 7-3 record. Before the Week 11 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland’s biggest injuries came on the offensive side of the ball.

RB Nick Chubb

OL Jack Conklin

QB Deshaun Watson

An injury to OL Jedrick Wills placed him on the bench, though he was expected to return.

Now safety Rodney McLeod joins the roster on the defensive side of the ball.

Browns Kevin Stefanski says C Rodney McLeod suffered a season-ending biceps injury that will require surgery. With Juan Thornhill missing time and DC Jim Schwartz playing three safeties at times, McLeod was a key part of the defense.

Undrafted safeties D’Anthony Bell and Ronnie Hickman currently provide depth behind Grant Delpit and Thornhill (if he returns to the field). General manager Andrew Berry could check out a veteran on the free agent market to add depth to the safety room.
