DONE DEAL: Minnesota Vikings have officially announced the signing of an incredible talent

Former Tiger Austin Bryant has signed with the Minnesota Vikings.

Former Clemson defensive end Austin Bryant is getting another opportunity in the NFL, signing with the Minnesota Vikings’ practice squad.

The #Vikings have signed DL Sheldon Day from the practice squad to the active roster. WR Trishton Jackson has been waived.

Bryant, currently an outside linebacker, was released by the San Francisco 49ers last week after playing 36 defensive snaps in two games. Those appearances came against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 and the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5.

Bryant was a fourth-round pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2019 NFL Draft and spent time with the Lions from 2019 to 2022. Bryant appeared in 35 career games, recording 66 total tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 11 quarterback hits and 1 pass breakup. 4.5 of the sacks came in the 2021 season with the Lions.
