An NFL legend sends a big warning to the Cowboys.
They host the Washington Commanders and will be looking to make a statement in the division as they look to improve their record to 8-3 in their first game against their division rivals this season. The Cowboys enter the game as 13.5-point favorites. They are currently 7-3 and the Chiefs are 4-7 coming off a loss to the New York Giants.
But despite the stark difference in talent and how good the Cowboys are at every position and possible measure or aspect of the game, team legend Michael Irvin doesn’t want them to take this game lightly. In a recent appearance on Undisputed, the legendary wide receiver said he’s seen this situation happen more often, especially around Thanksgiving.
He said the division’s competitors know each other so well that sometimes it doesn’t matter the records or even which team is better, anyone can win. Honestly, it would be hard to imagine this team being a threat to the Cowboys.
On the other hand, the same is true for the Arizona Cardinals, and we saw how that played out for Mike McCarthy’s team. Additionally, both HC Ron Rivera and QB Sam Howell will be eligible to play at their jobs going forward.
This gave them both great motivation to take on their division rivals and beat them in last year’s season finale.
