Now is the time for the Browns to extend Kevin Stefanski.
Despite several key injuries for most of the season, coach Kevin Stefanski led the Cleveland Browns to a 7-3 record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC, 1.5 games behind the Ravens. READ MORE: The Browns are a half-game away from a first-round berth in this year’s playoffs. They did it despite three different quarterbacks, Nick Chubb and a rookie right tackle on Day 3. If that’s not enough for fans to give Kevin Stefanski the respect he deserves, I don’t know what is. This team overcame mountains of adversity and Stefanski played hard from start to finish, knowing there was always a chance to win.
It’s clear that the cultural shift we’ve been waiting for is finally taking shape in Cleveland. Jason Lloyd of The Athletic agrees, publishing an article this week reporting that he has signed a new contract.
There’s still a lot of football to be played, but it’s impossible not to see something special happening in Cleveland. If they get lucky with injuries and their quarterback play improves, this team is going to have big contributors right now, and that starts with Stefanski.
